Garden State Iris Society

Welcome to GSIS!

The Garden State Iris Society is a club for New Jersey gardeners, growers and lovers of garden irises. We are an affiliate of the American Iris Society (AIS) representing Region 19, which includes all of New Jersey.

If you want to learn more about growing and showing irises, please join us.

We hold regular meetings with programs related to all phases of iris culture including:

• Local garden tours
• Annual spring shows
• Annual iris rhizome sales
• Annual special iris auction, and
• Luncheons with renowned iris gardeners and hybridizers as speakers.

Although participation in the Region's local activities doesn't require membership in the American Iris Society, we do encourage you to join the national organization, too. AIS membership entitles you to four quarterly, colorful and informative bulletins.
